Refund & Subscription Policy

1Overview
This policy explains how the Hey'Lette Pro Subscription is billed, how to cancel, and when refunds are and aren't available.
It applies to all paid Pro Subscriptions purchased through the Hey'Lette mobile app or website. It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms. "Hey'Lette," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Hey'Lette, Inc. and its subsidiaries.
2How billing works
The Pro Subscription is a recurring monthly subscription. Payments are processed by our payment provider, using the payment method you provide. Unless otherwise stated at checkout:
- You're charged the then-current monthly fee at the start of each billing period.
- Your subscription automatically renews each month until you cancel or it is turned off due to hospital sponsorship.
- All fees are stated and charged in U.S. dollars (USD) unless we indicate otherwise, and are exclusive of any applicable taxes, which may be added.
- Your billing period is anchored to the date you first subscribed (your "renewal date").
By subscribing, you authorize us and our payment processor to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until your subscription ends.
3Cancelling your subscription
You can cancel your Pro Subscription at any time. Here's exactly what happens when you do:
- Your access continues until the end of the current paid month. Cancelling doesn't cut you off immediately — you keep all Pro features through the last day of the billing period you've already paid for.
- Auto-renewal stops. You won't be charged for the next month.
- No partial or prorated refund is issued for the remainder of the current month, since you retain access for that full period.
After the current month ends, your account reverts to the free tier. Your profile, history, and data are retained in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
4Hospital sponsorship
If a hospital or health system sponsors your Pro access (for example, through a Hey'Lette Direct relationship), we will turn off your paid Pro Subscription on the same terms as a cancellation:
- Your current paid month remains active through its end date.
- Your subscription will not auto-renew, so you won't be charged again while you're sponsored.
- No partial or prorated refund is issued for the current month.
While you are sponsored, your Pro features are provided under the sponsoring organization's arrangement rather than a paid subscription. If your sponsorship later ends, you may resubscribe to Pro at the then-current rate. We'll make reasonable efforts to notify you before sponsored access changes, but the terms of any sponsorship are set between you, the sponsoring organization, and Hey'Lette.
5When refunds apply
Because cancelling and sponsorship both let you keep access through the end of the month you've paid for, Pro Subscription fees are generally non-refundable and we do not provide partial-period refunds. That said, we will issue a refund where:
- You were charged in error, charged twice, or charged after a valid cancellation took effect;
- A refund is required by applicable law (including certain consumer-protection or cooling-off rights that may apply in your jurisdiction); or
- We agree to one at our discretion as a courtesy.
Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method via Stripe and may take several business days to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer.
6Trials & promotions
We may offer free trials, introductory pricing, or promotional discounts from time to time. Unless stated otherwise at signup, a free trial automatically converts to a paid monthly subscription at the end of the trial period, and the cancellation rules in Section 3 apply. Promotional pricing applies only for the stated period, after which standard rates take effect. Only one trial or promotion may be used per person unless we say otherwise.
7Failed payments
If a recurring charge fails, we may retry the charge and will attempt to notify you. If we're unable to collect payment, we may suspend or downgrade your Pro access until your payment method is updated. You remain responsible for any amounts properly owed for periods in which you had access.
8Price changes
We may change the Pro Subscription price. If we do, we'll give you reasonable advance notice, and any change will take effect on your next renewal after the notice period. If you don't agree to a new price, you can cancel before it takes effect under Section 3.
9How to cancel
You can cancel from Settings → Subscription in the Hey'Lette app, or by emailing us at support@hey-lette.com from the email address on your account. If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, you may need to manage or cancel your subscription through that store's subscription settings, and that store's refund rules may also apply.
10Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first — we can usually resolve it quickly. Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without contacting us may result in suspension of your account while the dispute is investigated.
